What the cards in a Pitch Black booster box are worth on average, and how likely you are to pull more than you paid. Based on pull rates logged by collectors and current market prices.
How this works
For each rarity, the expected value is the odds per pack times the average price of a card of that rarity. We then simulate 10,000 boxes: in every pack each rarity is pulled at its logged rate, and a pulled card is drawn at random from that rarity with its current price. That shows not only the average but how uneven the result is: most of a box's value sits in a few chase cards, so the typical box is worth less than the average.
Market prices are what cards sell for, not what a shop pays you. Fees and shipping lower what you get. This is an estimate for planning, not a promise.
